A member asked:

Why would i get nervous when people are behind me?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Natural fear: It is natural in a situation that is causing anxiety to be afraid of people who you can't see. The brain is conditioned to be more afraid of things it can't see than things it can. On the other hand, this could be a sign of an anxiety disorder, like social phobia, if the fear is excessive or persistent.
