Yes: Firstly, it's safe to do Kegel exercises during pregnancy. The question remains: Does doing them make any difference? Certainly, performing the exercises won't hurt you or the baby. The goal of the exercises is to strengthen the muscles of the pelvic floor. By doing these exercises, it may allow you to protect your pelvic floor, improve your ability to push & possibly reduce the chance for tearing.
