Symptoms on 1 side: Anytime symptoms are involving 1 whole side of the body (particularly numbness or weakness), a neurological evaluation is warranted (and urgently - if not emergently). Stroke must be ruled out before other diagnoses can be entertained.

Stroke!: Until proven otherwise, it is a stroke--a medical emergency! time is brain! the longer you wait, the more you lose. Get checked immediately if this happens to you.
