Hard 2 Answer: It is often very difficult to sort out incisional pain from pain secondary to the operation performed. Was your operation laparoscopic or open?...How long ago?...How big of a hematoma?...Was mesh used? The best person to answer this question is your surgeon. I assume that he/she is keeping a close eye on your situation. In general, severe pain mandates close follow-up. Good luck!

All sorts: Typically pressure and sensation of a large bruise. Expect color changes. If it becomes hot or red or is expanding you need to see your surgeon right away. Otherwise keep appointment with your surgeon. Tincture of time usually allows for this to resolve itself over an extendered period of time.
