Many causes: There are too many causes to list here. However, a good rule of thumb to go by when dealing with rashes in babies is this: if the baby is well (eating/drinking/voiding/stooling/sleeping/behaving normally) and the rash is bothering her, go see her doctor. If the baby is well and the rash isn't bothering her at all, it only bothers the parent, then let it be. It will likely come and go.
