Depends on the tumor: This really depends on where the tumor is located and the aggressiveness of the tumor (benign, malignant). Tumors in the brain stem can affect a person's ability to hear, see, swallow, and breathe as they grow. Tumors in the cerebellum can affect balance among other things. Tumors in the cerebral cortex may cause seizures, mood changes, motor deficits, and other various symptoms.
