2 reasons: There are many reasons for the aching. Prolonged sitting can lead to pulling of blood in your lower extremities which can give you the feeling of aching, numbness, or burning. Another reason can be a bulging, protrusion, or herniated disc. Prolonged sitting can cause impingement of your spinal nerves which can also be a cause of your symptoms.
