A member asked:

How would infection in nasal passages and pharynx spread?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Rhinitis Pharyngitis: Infections of the nasal passages, sinuses and pharynx can spread to other areas of the body when the germs find their way into the blood stream (mostly) or though the lymphatic system. Infections of the roof of the sinuses and the middle ear can spread directly into the brain.
