Blame it on the baby: The excess fluid accumulated during pregnancy can find it's way into the carpal tunnel and compress the median nerve. Numbness and tingling in the thumb, index, long and ring fingers, is a common complaint during pregnancy. Splints at night and steroid injections into the carpal tunnel may relieve symptoms. Once the pregnancy is over and the fluid goes away, so do the symptoms. See a hand surgeon.

Swelling: Carpal tunnel syndrome is caused by swelling which is common during pregnancy. If you keep your wrist's in extreme positions at work, that may aggravate the symptoms, but is most likely related to your pregnancy. Take heart, it usually goes away after delivery.
