I believe so: I believe we should try cortisone shot for mild case of carpel tunnel before surgery, some time it help in avoiding surgery.

YES cortisone works : There have been many studies that have demonstrated the efficacy of corticosteroid injections for carpal tunnel and there have been those that said they do not work. Much depends upon the severity, chronicity and duration of the carpal tunnel as well as other health factors yes cortisone works but not all the the time short answer.
