Yes: Sub-acute bleeding by definition is bleeding that occurs 3 -21 days after the injury or fall. I do not know the frequency of these types of bleeds but they do occur. Thus, after any head injury, even if rhe acute ct or MRI scan is negative, the patient needs to be watched for a few weeks afterward by family and friends and follow up with their primary doctor for rechecks.
