A member asked:

What are considered high titres of rnp in the blood?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Caution: Though lupus and mixed connective tissue disease are two conditions in which a person may have a positive rnp antibody, you cannot make a reverse assumption. In other words, a positive rnp does not diagnose a particular disease. I often consult on patients that have a positive ana, a positive rnp, etc. With no disease whatsoever. With rnp, high or low positive is dependent on the testing lab.
