Thickness and pigmen: For the thickness of the burn scar, kenalog (triamcinolone) injections helps to thin the scar. For the pigmentation, hydroquinone cream can help.

You can't: If the burn was not too deep and healed within about ten days it may just take time for the scar to fade. If the burn was deep and took over 2 wks to heal or require skin grafting there may be very little that can be done. Sometimes a pressure garment will help. A small scar may be excised and closed with stitches but trade old scar for a new one. Avoid sun and consult a plastic surgeon to evaluat.

Can be improved mayb: Scars can not be made to disappear. There are scar gels and creams that can improve the appearance of a scar that you already have. You can sometimes have a surgical scar revision, but this is just trading one scar for a new scar that should look better.
