Ativan/klonopin: Ativan can last 4-6 hours, Klonopin (clonazepam) up to 12 hours. Also, Ativan can be injected and that is used in er for emergencies. There is a form of Klonopin (clonazepam) that works fast and can be dissolved on tongue, called Klonopin (clonazepam) wafers.
