How will i know if my surgeon has ever had a complaint filed against them?

Complaint/lawsuit: That type of information is available. Ask your provider directly. Your insurance carrier will also have that imformation and the facility. A patient complaint will not necessarily lead to an action. Most facilities have policies and procedures about patient complaints, separate from physician performance monitoring.
