Many ways: The gold standard treatment is a mask/machine called cpap. Other options that exist include weight loss, oral appliances and surgery. There are some other miscellaneous devices that can help but not get rid fo sleep apnea. It is best to talk to a sleep physician about your options after having a sleep study.

Can be managed: Apnea cannot be cured, only managed. Weight loss, eliminating alcohol consumption, improving sleep hygiene are ways to influence it without active treatment. Overcoming it's effects is accomplished with different types of positive pressure devices, dental appliances and surgery. But you are never rid of it.
