Yes: But if it is a new, never seen, lesion please see a dmd (dentist) asap.At 48 I am worried about oral cancer.

Mouth ulcers: They can increase in size as they evolve into their full form. The key here is how long they last. They should disappear within 10 days or so, if a sore stays around longer than that then you need to get into your dentist for an examination and evaluation. Never let a sore stay around.
