Rx vs. suppression: This is not disseminated herpes; it's localilzed cutaneous herpes. It can be treated with an anti-herpes drug at the first sign of an outbreak. If you're having frequent outbreaks at the elbow and/or in the genital area, you can also consider daily preventive therapy.
