Tingling around rib: Suggestion #1: don't compress that area. Most tingling sensation are caused by pressure on a nerve, and there is an individual cutaneous nerve running under each rib. So in your case something is probably putting chronic (perhaps intermittent) pressure on it. Try to figure out what that might be. Treatment is relief of the pressure. Exception might be a pinched nerve in the spine.
