Double betrayal: With this one event, you have had two overwhelming losses. Your relationship with both your wife and your best friend are forever changed. Your medication won't change that. I hope the meds might help blunt the pain sufficient for you to function at your job. I strongly recommend psychotherapy for you and couples' therapy with you and your wife, if the two of you are trying to stay together.

Major hit: You have taken a major hit. I am amazed that you have not gone postal. You should be proud that you are still functioning. If you can find it in your heart to truly forgive them, you may find it possible to stop obsessing about it. If you can't forgive, you may need to consider a new future without her or your best friend.
