A member asked:

When you donate blood- can they identify marijuana in it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

We won't look: Even if you believe our marijuana laws are wise, nobody cares whether there is a little bit of the stuff in blood for transfusion. It is hard enough to get people to donate blood at all without their having to be busted for weed as a result. Thanks for your being willing to donate blood, and don't worry about our "war on drugs" in the privacy of a blood donation.
