Big spectrum: Thyroid hormones are some of the most important hormones in the body. People with low thyroid cane experience symptoms of: fatigue, sensitive to cold, dry skin, constipation, hoarse voice, weight gain, high cholesterol, muscle ache/weakness, joint pain, heavy periods, brittle nails/hair, depression... In severe cases, especially in the older population, hypothyroidism can lead to a coma/death.
