Yes: Holding your baby upright helps them swallow the milk more efficiently. However experiment with different angles and types of holds, especially if your baby doesn't seem to like to bottle. Some babies like to be held in the nursing position, while others like a completely different position when eating from the bottle. See what works best with your child and be flexible.
