Two things: It sounds like you had a folliculitis for the pimple, but the blisters and scabs sound like you have contracted the herpes from your wife. See your physician for antiviral therapy.

& so do you.: Sounds extremely suspicious for description of herpetic lesions. You should either get blood test or get examined when blisters present again, so know & can get prophylaxis from outbreaks.
