Not that harmful: We just recommend that patients avoid vigorous exercise and heavy lifting because of the risk of bleeding for 10 days after surgery. Sex falls into the vigorous exercise category usually, but if it was performed lightly then it's fine.

Probably should wait: After my patients have nasal or sinus surgery i always recommend waiting one week to do anything that will raise their blood pressure. That includes vigorous exercise and having sexual relations. There are few things worse than engaging in sexual activity and having a major nosebleed allover one's partner.

Hold off: I would tell you to just hold off on vigorous exercise for one week after nasal surgery. Is a bad nosebleed with a trip to the er and possible nasal packing worth it? I don't think so.
