Sore throat: The short answer is yes. In reality, sore throat is more commonly associated with common conditions like an upper respiratory tract infection (cold), allergies, tonsillitis and reflux disease. If you have worsening sore throat, particularly if it is accompanied with fever, chills, aching joints, loss of appetite, please see your doctor immediately.

No: The idea of a superbug is one that is resistant to many standard antibiotics. Although it sounds scary, the symptoms often are similar to those of 'regular' bugs. Therefore a sore throat would not be unique to a superbug and is more likely to be due to more common infection.
