I completely lost my hearing after getting an episode of vertigo. will i ever get it back? both a neurologist and an ent weren't sure.

Likely not: It sounds like you had labyrinthitis. If the illness was more than 1 month ago, you will likely not improve. This can be due to viral, bacterial or non-infectious causes. Another unlikely possibility is a first episode of menieres syndrome. In this syndrome, hearing fluctuates up and down. There is a new treatment for one side deafness called bone anchored hearing aid.
