Absence/petit mal…: Seizures, more common in children than in adults, are characterized by episode of person seemingly just staring into space & does not respond to verbal or touch stimuli until the seizure is over. A neurologist can order an MRI of the brain &/or a brain wave study (eeg) to help diagnose this disorder, which can be controlled by meds. Be sure to tell doc all meds & supplements you take.
