Symbicort (budesonide and formoterol) VS Advair: Atudy done in 2008 with symbicort (budesonide and formoterol)(budesenide&formoterol), was compared with advair(fluticasone&salmetrol) showed that symbicort (budesonide and formoterol) provided greater and faster bronchodilatory effect, compared with advair in adults with mild to moderate asthma but in real life my experience of using both of these drugs there is not much difference and my patients get either depend of what is covered by their insurance.

No: They are basically the same thing. The medications are different than Symbicort, but I wouldn't say one is stronger than the other. In my experience, they both work well and equally effective.
