Yes: Your symptoms are concerning. They may be nothing, they may be related to other organs like the thyroid, or they can be cardiac like atrial fibrillation. Now with the lightheaded ness the symptoms are telling you to see your dr asap - my bet is you can't predict when it's going to happen. Please see your physician as soon as possible.

Palpitations: The short answer: yes. You could be having intermittent irregular heart rhythms putting you at significant risk for stroke, as well as heart attack. I would strongly urge you to see your doctor or visit an emergency room as soon as possible. Many things could be the cause, some potentially very serious.
