Pediatric surgeon: Depending on where it is located a general pediatric surgeon is excellent. If on the face a plastic surgeon may be considered. Yes it should be as simple as removing a cyst or lesion...When you consult with the surgeon be sure to ask him/her these questions. The person doing the procedure will give you the best information.

Depends on location: This depends on where the neurofibroma is located. If it is on the skin either a general or plastic surgeon can do this without much problem. If it is located in the spine or brain then you need to let a neurosurgeon do the job. Good luck.
