What is the relationship between mono and hepatitis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Mono: Infectious mono, a virus that causes severe pharyngitis, abdominal pain, spleen enlargement, and sometimes inflammation of the liver, is a recognized cause of viral hepatitis. Mono is due to the epstein barr virus which is very different from the hepatitis a, hepatitis b, or hepatitis c virus that causes most cases of hepatitis.
