Depends: A kid at seventeen should any physician as long as they are comfortable. If they are uncomfortable with the physician at any age, they should make the choice to move along & select another provider. Many kids will continue to see their pediatrician from birth until they graduate from high school. Some hang on until they are referred to another dr.
