Altered blood flow: The blood flow in infants is designed to preserve energy when possible so baby will use it for growth. This often results in bluish lips, pale or bluish fingers if they are exposed to common household temperature. They pink up if placed in a warm setting. This should not be confused with low oxygen content you would expect in older kids or adults.Pink/red inner eyelid skin tells this better for baby.
