Can be normal: In a youngster who is growing rapidly the muscles do not grow as quickly as the bones so the child can for a while walk on his toes until the muscle length catches up to bone growth. An "out toeing gait" is normal for a youngster as it increases stability and aids balance. Intoeing, however, is never normal and would need to be treated. Any other concerns should be addressed to your podiatrist.
