Extreme Hyperthyroid: It is unusual these days, but patients in thyroid storm need to be hospitalized. They may have high fever, rapid and irregular heart beat, high blood pressure, maybe heart failure, chest pain, sweating and anxiety, possibly delirium. These patients are very sick.
