See podiatrist: Or dermatologist. The question is what is the discoloration from. Sometimes, it is from a fungus but not always, sometimes it can be from bacteria under the toenail or from trauma. Sometimes, it can occur from dried blood under the toenail, or from nail polish. Once, a doc determines the etiology they can offer a treatment plan.
