Variable accurancy: The accuracy of MRI depends a great deal on the person who is being scanned being able to hold still during the scan. Motion artifact is the most common artifact that decreases the accuracy of an MRI. The overall accuracy also depends on if the right type of MRI is ordered and if contrast is used where needed.
