Depends : On what you're looking for. Generally speaking, MRI is a more sensitive test and if ordered after ct scan, it is the one to look at. If, for instance, you're looking at a brain, we usually of a ct without contrast 1st, then MRI w/; wo contrast. It gives us much more info.

MRI and CT of what?: There are too many unknown variables in this question. Mri and ct of what organ? Brain? Knee? Shoulder? Spine? What were the findings in one scan versus the other scan?
