The nutrition facts on a food has carbs and then sugar. Do they mean the simple sugars aka monosacharides; glucose, fructose, and galactose?
Being diagnosed as a type II diabetic, I am curious to know what foods I should eat. What should I look out for in food labels? Sugar? Carbs? Fats?
To make sure I am not consuming too many carbs or calories, does this mean I have to constantly look at nutrition labels of every single thing I eat?
The low carb breads/bagels, I looked at the nutrition labels & the calories listed DO NOT INCLUDE those from all the grams of fiber in there. Is this accurate?? Do calories from fiber really not count? Or are they just lying to make you think so
