Depends: The serotype of the hep c, his tolerance and adherence to medication, abstaining from alcohol or other substances toxic to the liver are all important. Then having a compatible liver become available are all important occurrences. He has a good chance for all this to happen. Good luck and prayer help.

See hepatologist: Hep c therapy has changed dramatically with the advent of protease inhibitors, response rates have been encouraging and most are oral drugs without the side effects of interferon. See an experienced hepatologist oncologist for a consultation.
