A protein and fiber: A protein relatively void of saturated fat such as fish or lean meat, along with a high fiber vegetable is a fairly healthy combination for a meal. The protein slows gastric emptying making you feel full longer and the fibrous vegetable pushes the nutrients to the lower small intestine releasing other hormones that fills you up and decreases the absorption of bad fats.
