Neurosurgeon: Infants need the sutures in the skull to be open to allow for the skull to grow. Without correction, this can lead to not only cosmetic problems, but increased pressure in the brain.

Craniosynostosis: There are a number of excellent craniofacial centers around the country, mostly associated with academic medical centers - If you are from Miami the best in your area is at Miami Children's.
