Lung spot: Lung spot or solitary pulmonary nodule needs to be investigated especially in the elderly. There are certain features your doctor will look for in the x-ray or ct scan of chest like irregularity or calcification. If suspicious they may even do a biopsy to find out whether malignant or benign. A pet scan may also be helpful in diagnosis. If proven to be benign, it should still be monitored.
