Yes: Surgical options would depend on the root cause of the hearing loss. Fluid in the middle ear may be relieved by ear tubes. A reconstruction of the ossciular chain may include placing a prosthetic ear bone to improve hearing. The baha implant is a a great 45 minute surgery for patients who have single sided deafness. The cochlear implant is for patients who are profoundly (completely) deaf.
