A member asked:

Does baneocin work on a staph infection?

Dr. Emily Lu answered

It depends: While some strains of staph are susceptible to the two antibiotics found in baneocin, some strains are not susceptible or can develop resistance to the antibiotic ointment after use. I would talk to your doctor if you suspect you have a staph infection to determine what treatment will work best for the strain of staph infection you have some staph infections are very resistant
