I have been to the doctors multiple times for a staph infection in my armpit. it heals over and then reopens with blood and puss coming out it repeatedly. should i have a kind of gland surgery? its been packed/ given medication. 4yrs nothing works?

Hidradenitis?: Staph can behave this way; you could be a staph carrier. An infectious diseases specialist might try treating you with long-term antibiotics. Also maybe test for certain immune system deficiencies that lead to staph infections. Or maybe you have hidradenitis suppurativa, a chronic infection-like syndrome that doesn't respond to antibiotics. See a dermatologist as well as ID specialist. Good luck.
