Multiple treatments: There are a number of ways to treat heel pain. Oral anti inflamatory medication, steroid injections, streaching, orthotics, ultasound, and physical therapy. It is best to see your podiatrist and have him diagnose and treat your heel pain.

See a doctor.: A sore heel should be evaluated by a physician. It could be many things. Plantar fasciitis is a common cause of heel pain. This is an inflammation of the ligament on the bottom of the heel which often causes pain upon rising in the am. A podiatrist will most likely give you a quick accurate diagnosis and treatment options.
