A member asked:

I have a pain in the arch of my left foot just in front of my heal. it is sore in the morning and after long days on it. how do i prevent/treat?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Plantar fasciitis: Heel and arch pain are common especially if you stand for long periods of time or walk in flat shoes. The best shoes would be good running shoes. Bare feet, flip flops, and other flat shoes should be avoided. The pain usually doesn't appear until the next morning and can be relieved by stretching. Stretching exercises for the calf muscles and anti inflammatory meds should help.
