How can i take care of my heel spur?

Several things: If you are having heel pain then you can begin a stretching and icing regimen. Stretch the calf muscle and the bottom of your foot. Nsaid's, steroid injections, orthotics, splints or surgery if the other things do not help.

See a Podiatrist: Heel spurs can be on the posterior of the calcaneous (haglunds deformity), or on the bottom of the foot. The most common complaint is that of a heel spur on the bottom of the foot. A cortisone injection is the quickest way to get relief. Other modes of therapy include stretching, nsaids, taping and padding, and ultrasound. Orthotics are the long term conservative treatment.

Stretch. support: Heel spurs alone don't need care. Pain, probably from plantar fasciitis does. Self care: good shoes with orthotics (sports or specialty shoe store) heel cups, arch supports reduce pulling on the heel. Antiinflamatory medication, supplements, treatments with hot and cold. Stretching is often very successful, see exercises online. Consult family doc or specialist for more help.
